SMALLER CARS for BAD DRIVERS. Cars are weapons limit them to hurting themselves not others

Serial driving offenders remain on the roads, and ignore suspensions, leading to avoidable fatal crashes - endangering the law abiding community, citizens must speak up to push legislative change.

1: Primarily: Legislate very low limits for the weight and power of vehicles repeat offenders can drive. "The driver of the lighter car is much more likely to die or be seriously injured in an accident involving two vehicles" lowering the weight of vehicles repeat offenders can drive creates safety for the community and an option before suspension. A punishment that offenders are less likely to ignore than suspension. Researchers in the USA came up with some disturbing statistics: "Taking accidents between the heaviest (1800 - 2400kg) and the lightest (500 - 900kg) passenger cars, statistics showed that the driver of the smaller car was 17 times more likely to die in the accident"

2: Create a new yellow P plate to effectively warn other drivers of, and shame, repeat offenders.

3: Cross check registered vehicles against driver vehicle size and power limits as one of a number of proactive policing measures to monitor compliance. The public wants a more empowered and proactive policing of the roads, particularly in relation to repeat offenders. More random roadside checks. More number plate recognition. More local police monitoring of repeat offenders using the RAPID number plate cognition system.

Let us not miss the lessons to be learnt from the Falkholt family tragedy, and many others like it, as terrible drivers remain legally, and illegally, on our roads disregarding the lives of others in their state sanctioned, high power, heavy = much more deadly, vehicle weapons.
