Co-Ed High school for Hornsby-Berowra Area NSW

Residents of Berowra and surrounding suburbs have been denied a high school for many years. The Hornsby Shire is growing fast and yet there are no public co-ed high schools within the whole Hornsby- Brooklyn area. The catchment zones of Asquith Girls High and Asquith Boys High have also recently been amended to exclude suburbs north of Mount Kuring-Gai. This means that the ONLY zoned high school for Berowra and suburbs north to Brooklyn is in North Turramurra. There are multiple primary schools in the area yet students are expected to travel large distances to their 'local' co-ed high school. With all the building activity (i.e units) underway in the Hornsby Shire it won't be long before the population growth far exceeds the capacity of the available high schools in the area. We have the population to sustain a high school NOW and believe it should be a priority for the area. Demand better for our kids - sign the petition and make the pollies sit up and take notice!
