1. During the attack on a Police Inspector at Warriewood, the lack of Police resources in the former Pittwater Local Government Area was highlighted with Police having to come from as far away as the city and Chatswood. The attack by a gang of youths also highlighted how some are out of control and have complete disrespect for Police and our community.
2. Avalon Police Station was closed a number of years ago and Mona Vale Police Station is not fully staffed nor properly operational.
3. Vicious assaults at Narrabeen, an attempted kidnapping by two men of a teenage boy and vandalism at Elanora Heights as well as other criminal activity in Warriewood, Mona Vale and Newport has residents seriously concerned.
4. Bureau of Crime statistics indicate a 25% rise to March 2020 of car breakins.
We need Mona Vale Police Station to be fully staffed and operational and more Police on the beat in Narrabeen, Warriewood, Elanora Heights, Mona Vale and Newport to address the ever increasing rates of crime.
