Petition- Australian Curriculum to teach about the mass killings of gay people in Chechnya

Petition- Australian Curriculum to teach about the mass killings of gay people in Chechnya
Currently in Chechnya there are anti gay purges where there are mass killings of people because of their perceived sexual orientation. This issue has been occurring for many years and it needs to stop. Police in Chechnya are constantly carrying out new rounds of unlawful detentions, beatings, and humiliation of LGBTQIA+ people, leading to many people trying to flee the Chechen Republic or hide their sexual orientation from their family. The Russian authorities must end these abductions, persecutions and horrific abuses of the human rights of LGBTQIA+ people urgently.
We want to spread awareness about this issue through encouraging the Australian Department of Education to teach about this issue. This is because we want to make sure the students are aware of this problem, to influence them to make a change, and continue the fight to stop it in the future. By signing this petition, you will be able to help us make a difference, as together we will be able to have a stronger influence over the NSW Government and NSW Education to teach and put the anti gay purges in Chechnya within the curriculum to teach to the upcoming generations.
