NSW Government and Railcorp: Introduce an hourly weekday train service between Katoomba and Lithgow
Currently there is an hourly train service between Sydney and Katoomba, but trains only run west of Katoomba every 2 hours. We need the hourly service between Sydney and Katoomba extended to Lithgow so stations like Medlow Bath, Blackheath and Mt Victoria also have an hourly train service.
Cityrail is releasing a new train timetable in late 2013. Public consultation for the new timetable has commenced.
An hourly weekday train service between Katoomba and Lithgow will help local residents get around, commute to work, uni and TAFE, access medical facilities, schools and shopping in Katoomba and Lithgow, boost tourism and encourage more people to catch public transport. Join the Blackheath Community Alliance in our campaign for an hourly weekday train service west of Katoomba.
