Is anything going to happen because not much has happened so far if so what will happen?

Don’t think it’s fair as most kids have already got the original jackets. And parents can’t afford to just keep buying clothes because the school chooses half way through the year to change the style.

As part of the Alumni of RHHS, it’s dissapointing to see that such a drastic change in the comfort and identity of students is being considered. This change has no apparent benefits on the education of students at Rouse Hill and may have more negative repercussions than positive. I know for myself and others I attended the school with, this jacket was worn year round without a worry. It’s concerning to see that little thought has been put in to the consequences of taking away a fundamental aspect of what some students may find comfort and protection in, especially in an environment that all too often becomes hostile - bullying etc.
In signing this, I’m in no way against changes to uniforms at educational institutions, but more thought needs to be into such a change. Perhaps workshopping with students and parents would prove a more effective approach.

I think the jackets are more durable and practical than an itchy woolly jumper.
Kids look neat and presentable in either.

If some snotty parents want their kids to be done up in a blazer and look all dressed up, send your kids to a private school and get over yourselves. These jackets are perfectly fine and they are practical for winter or summer, and the kids like them. If you don’t like the uniform send your kids elsewhere.
