With the possibility of the current Covid-19 Pandemic continuing well in to Term 2, 2020, I ask that we temporarily revise the school week from 5 days to 4 days. 

Our teachers are doing a fabulous job in continuing to provide remote learning for their students. It has been fantastic to see the enthusiasm from both the teachers and our children, whilst working remotely away from their classrooms, friends and the wider teaching community.

Whilst schooling for our children is of the utmost importance, the mental well-being of parents, is also significant during these unprecedented times. 

By moving to a 4-day school week, I believe this change will help us achieve the following:

- Provide parents an extended relief period whilst undergoing the task of supporting our children's needs and performing ongoing responsibilities such as full time employment;

- Allow for teachers to have an extra day to review homework and give them the opportunity to plan as they too may be at home, providing support to their own children; and, 

- Help to create a harmonious environment for all involved by reducing the stress of juggling work and "teaching" while taking the recommended steps to protect ourselves and others from Covid-19. 

I truly believe this will add benefit to the Health and Wellbeing of Australian families, whilst caring for our children and providing them with an education in 2020!
