Thank you so much for all your support. 35,000 voices from Canada and around the world were heard loud and clear, and the decision was reversed within the week!

Rugby Nova Scotia stepped in to help run the season and a process was put in place to look at safety and plan for the future.

We have continued to raise awareness of the issues around head injuries and player safety. But we're not done yet. In support of our continuing endeavours, we're holding events this weekend to educate and celebrate rugby.

On Friday June 28th, Canadian Rugby legend Jamie Cudmore will be speaking in Halifax,  at 2 pm at Citadel High, on injuries and concussion safety. Jamie has become a huge advocate in this area around the world and will relay his experiences playing for Canada and professionally in France.

Please spread the word and attend if you're local!

Support our "Celebration of Rugby" on Saturday June 29th, 8 PM at the Toothy Moose on Argyle Street.

This is a get together and fundraiser, featuring Jamie, along with fellow Canadian legends Aaron Carpenter and Jebb Sinclair, taking questions from the audience.

Tickets are only 20 dollars and all proceeds go to supporting our high school, youth development, and safety programs.

If you can come, please do! Even if you can't, buy a ticket as a donation, and show your support!

To buy tickets for this event:

E-transfer $20 to rugby@sportnovascotia.ca

Or buy online through Sportlomo:  https://sportsmanager.ie/sportlomo/registration/event-registration/index/91

If you have any questions about the events please reach out to Dr. John Gillis from Rugby NS on Facebook or johnmgillis@hotmail.com.

Thanks again for all your support and for saving my season, and the season of so many other athletes. #WeWillPlay
