The NRL is full of horrible calls that have turned fans away from the game for years. Most recently in the 2019 NRL Grand Final, Ben Cummins possibly cost the Canberra Raiders the win by calling a “re-six” then retracting the call after, this caused the raiders to make a play that you wouldn’t on the last tackle because they thought they had 5 more this is one major mistake of many caused by the likes of Gerard and Ben during the game however this sort of thing happens all the time when it shouldn’t search up “Sack Ben Cummins” in your google search bar and you will find multiple occasions where him and other referees including Gerard have been forced to apologise over a wrong call during a game and this is just some examples, there are many more you won’t see by searching that and even more that they weren’t forced to apologise for. The NRL needs proficient referees in order for the game to stay alive otherwise fans will leave the sport. And for the record no I do not support the raiders I am a Manly fan.
