Victoria road traffic chaos and lack of bus shelter

Victoria road traffic chaos and lack of bus shelter
Why this petition matters

Since living in Victoria road , two main topics come up time and again
The lack of a bus shelter heading into town , people have to stand in the rain , cold and wind to wait including elderly and children, there is no protection from the elements and people are huddled against a wall outside the Chinese takeaway
When i contacted Stephen Kinnock i was told the highways department dont have any money in the budget for a bus shelter , yet they seem to be popping up everywhere else?
Secondly , as anyone who has ever lived in victoria road port Talbot and surrounding areas , or had the pleasure of trying to cross the road at the Nisa shop over to the bridge will know , its like a game of dodgems , daily i watch children crossing to get to the bus stop for school or after school or in the holidays to the shop or the bridge , i hold my breath because the road is constantly busy and the majority of the traffic dont slow down , cars regularly seem to think this road is a race track , i asked about the possibility of a Zebra crossing and was told there was a road survey and was found not to be busy enough to warrent a crossing. im sure this must have been done on christmas day or a sunday because anyone who knows this road knows how busy it is and how fast the traffic moves , its an accident waiting to happen , please sign and help to get the crossing and shelter , surely this is not too much to ask of our council!!!
