Many Novi students are against the idea of starting class later. With an earlier release time, students that participate in after school activities will get home much later giving them less time to complete their homework or other jobs they have outside of school. Yes it's true most teens do not get the recommended amount of sleep but a late start time won't change that students will just stay up later and get the exact same amount of sleep they do now.
