Nova Scotia Students Are Facing Some Serious Problems
This petition had 13 supporters
The Nova Scotia Teachers Union warns that Nova Scotia students are facing some serious problems.
- chaos in our schools
- overcrowded classrooms
- lack of support for our kids
As concerned communities of parents and citizens we want the Nova Scotia government to stop the elimination of our school boards, banning principals and vice principals from the union, dividing them from teachers so they are not working together for students which results in dividing public education, and creating new bureaucracies. These actions will only divide communities and distract from the very real issues facing our schools.
Classes are overcrowded, students can't get the support they deserve, and teachers are overworked and tired.
We've seen what happened to our health care system after Stephen MacNeil used legislation to centralize bureaucracy and meddle with unions. Don't let the same thing happen to public education. We say no to the Glaze report and focus on what really matters - more support for students and their teachers.
