Drew Wolf started this petition to Nova Scotia Government and

Why does the Nova Scotian Government have the right to ban something so many adults rely on? We’re talking about adults who’re relying on a product for many reasons. Whether it’s to stay off cigarettes or not. Why focus on legitimate products that are bought legally, from LEGITIMATE stores, who have the expertise and knowledge about the products? Not only are you affecting people who vape, but you’re also going after small businesses! People who opened and work at these businesses. People who know about the products they’re selling. People who ensure they’re selling the best and safest products available. Saying you’re “trying to keep N.S. smoke free” is bs. Cigarettes are still allowed, which is allowing chain smokers to keep doing what they’re doing. Why ban something that works and helps so many people when you can just work harder to keep it off the hands of minors? We will be happy with you adding more certifications and training for legitimate stores to stay open. Adopt “plain packaging” regulations. We might not be happy, but increase the tax on vape products. The fact that you went straight to a full ban on the sale of the products shows how much you know about vaping, and how little you care. Incase you didn’t know, there’s a huge difference between legitimate products and those sold on the black market. For someone like myself, I rely on the flavours to keep me from going back to cigarettes. If I’m given the option of “plain” and “tobacco” flavours then why bother when I can just go smoke cigarettes. But maybe that’s what you want? Maybe that’s why you’re banning flavoured vape juice. Because you made more money selling cigarettes? Whether that was your intention or not, scrap the ban. Consult people who rely on this and vape shop owners. See for yourself how this helps us!! This started in Nova Scotia but could end up being Canada wide. Let’s show them this is unacceptable and not how a government should act.
