Keep Nottingham public toilets open

Keep Nottingham public toilets open
Why this petition matters
For many people, public toilets may be an afterthought. However, to millions of people across the UK, they provide a vital service. 1 in every 650 people in the UK experience Crohn's Disease, a condition which requires constant access to toilets. Without facilities, they will be marooned at home, unable to enjoy Nottingham. In addition, the changing tables are very important to parents. In short, large amounts of Nottingham residents require public toilets.
Due to the pandemic, all of these facilities which were managed by the council closed, with the goal of preventing infection. However, since 2010 over 700 public toilets across the UK have closed, and many fear that the pandemic will exasperate the problem. To this end, we are petitioning for Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County council to pledge to keep public toilets open, so that more people can traverse the great city of Nottingham.
