Get the FREESTYLE LIBRE on the Nottinghamshire NHS for type 1 diabetics

We are a group of young type 1 diabetics, using the freestyle libre which we currently fund for ourselves. While this has been approved on the NHS it has not been approved by the Nottingham city clinical commissioning group. Therefore not accessible on the NHS in Nottingham. The freestyle libre is an alternative way to test our blood sugars without finger pricking. It gives us the ability to live with less restrictions and feel more comfortable within ourselves. It currently costs us £50 per sensor. Each sensor only lasts 2 weeks. Therefore some people aren't able to afford them and so aren't able to benefit from this new technology. We feel that this is an important thing to be put on the NHS as it can help with our blood sugar control which prevents us from suffering with any complications.
