Notkewin park has been closed and barricaded since May.  It is supposed to be a temporary closure but no work has commenced this year.  Parks Alberta have continued to add barricades, signs and blockades to the road so that no traffic including off road vehicles can access the lower campgrounds.  Multiple campers have been disappointed by the closure.  Many families enjoy the park for boating, fishing and camping.  

We would as a community be interested in fixing the slight damage to the road that occurred during the spring rain.   

Please sign this petition if you would like to see the park reestablished either as a provincial parks incentive or as a community incentive at the cost of willing community members committed to provide the materials, equipment, machinery and man hours to complete the job.
