Norwood - Ask the City Attorney to drop the charges against the Gardner 3

Sherrie Smith, Deb Willenberg, and Candi Frank were arrested for trespassing on July 18, 2017 when they refused to leave Senator Gardner’s office until he fulfilled the requirements of his job, which included scheduling an in-person town hall and protecting the people of Colorado.
Senator Gardner, upon hearing of protests like this happening in both the Denver and Colorado Springs offices, asked for the charges to be dropped for all the protesters involved. The city of Denver chose to do as he requested and dropped the charges for those arrested in the Denver office, the city of Colorado Springs ignored Senator Gardner’s request and charged all of them anyway.
After months of court hearings where the city refused to give them the evidence against them without a plea, they finally have their trials scheduled and have received the discovery from the prosecution. Three separate trials for three women arrested at Gardner’s Colorado Springs office for trespassing, during a sit in. Senator Gardner wants the charges dropped, the city is prosecuting anyway. A complete waste of money in taking these women to trial when Gardner doesn't even want to pursue the charges.
Norwood Developers are listed as the "victims" in the case. This is a local developer making money from a tax payer funded representative. These women were simply in Senator Gardners office asking him to do the job he is paid to do with their tax dollars which go directly to Norwood from the rental of the office space.
Sign this petition today to tell Norwood to ask the city to drop the charges against these three women. Tell them that this is completely unacceptable and that they are most certainly not victims in this case. Staying silent while they are unjustly prosecuted is wrong.
