This notice is for anyone living in Norwood and goes to Norwood Plaza regularly e.g Foodland or any  of the other shops located in the centre - please read the information below and sign the petition if you feel like this should change.

This bin room is a problem. They have only  two general waste bins and one cardboard bin – there is no green waste bin or a recycling bin. We have contacted Centre Managers and their excuse was no room. I believe this is not good enough! I worked in other shopping centres where this can be achieved in a much smaller space.

This plaza bin room is shared between:

 Butcher.

 Chicken shop.

Fish shop.

Greengrocer

 Two cafes.

 Sushi

Boost juice

General public.

And I know for sure the other shops on the Parade also use this bin room.

Just to put it into perspective, in just one café can use over 30+ milk bottles a week and they do not decompose!   They have no choice but to put it into waste, instead of going into recycling and being reused or broken down into something new.  All of this rubbish is going to landfill, that is getting bigger every day.

This shopping centre is falling behind in doing its part for it community by not even able to provide the correct bin for their customers and workers. I say no more excuses, I believe as a community we can change this.

Please Sign the petition below and help me change the way we handle our waste at Norwood Plaza.
