We are concerned for the future of culture in the city of Norwich.
For the last few decades it has been a city buzzing with enthusiasm and support for local talent and events. It has been a hub for a diverse range of cultures and the creative movements that come with them. But with so many venue closures, sound limitations and licensing issues, the promoters and punters of these events are moving to cities more welcoming to local talent. This will no doubt make Norwich a less popular choice for students and people visiting Norwich in general. What’s most worrying is the effect it will have on the next generations.
Imagine Norwich without the diversity and creativity it has always been known for. The council NEEDS to make this a priority before the culture of Norwich slips away.
