Remove Plastic Containers from Cafeteria and End Littering
Plastic containers make up most of the waste that pollutes the planet; however, plastic is not degradable, and sits in the environment for many years. At Norwell High School, plastic containers, wraps, and other products are used in the cafeteria to serve food, but are often not disposed of properly and are left by students outside on the lunch areas, fields, and in the parking lots. This is very detrimental to the environment. As students, it is our job to help keep our community clean and free from such polluting substances. By switching out the plastic for paper products, we can help to further the protection of our environment and limit Norwell’s plastic build up. Furthermore, we want to provide more available trash cans around the school to try and bring a decrease to the litter that is very present at NHS. Sign this petition to help us achieve more environmentally friendly options for our school!
