Let us decorate our graduation caps!

High school graduation is a crucial stepping stone in transitioning from childhood to independence. This one ceremony signifies a drastic change in independence, individuality, and responsibility. Our graduation ceremony not only demonstrates the termination of our pre-college education but the continuation of a life-long enlightenment: the time for us to truly express our distinctiveness.

Unfortunately, unlike many other American high schools, Northwest does not provide the opportunity for its graduating classes to decorate their graduation caps, reducing the originality and importance of the ceremony to individual students. By allowing students to decide whether or not they would like to decorate their caps with unique and appropriate applications, the Northwest would permit one last chance to express ourselves before entering the adult world.
