Requesting that all local, state and federal governments learn from the flood crisis in Northern NSW.

No 1 priority- upgrade the M1, from Chinderah to prevent future flooding blockages.

No 2 Upgrade secondary roads to prevent further flooding

No 3 Ensure all small villages and towns have ses sub-station that holds supplies of petrol, diesel, water, generator, small boat, sandbags. This would help rescue locals in trouble.

No4 Ensure telecommunications can be maintained in crisis including internet, phone services, ses phone calls having adequate system to answer all calls.

No 5 Provide emergency accommodation for displaced residents immediately.

No 6 Have processes in place for faster response in future so people are not left on roofs for days.
