I like many of thousands of people who contracted covid have been living with the after effects, which range from over 30 to 40 different symptoms, like lightheadedness, dizziness, insomnia, Brain fog, fatigue, breathlessness, fibromyalgia the list goes on. We have been living like this since the start of the pandemic. I'm a father of 3 children 35 years old and married worked since I left school. I was very outgoing and enjoyed a great social life and family life. I took Ill firstly in December 2019, then in March 2020 out of nowhere I took ill. It the time the government were not testing anyone other than the frontline workers. I worked for Tesco and believe I got the virus whilst at work. I have been to hell and back and still fighting the fight right now. I'm a shadow of the person I once was, I can no longer work due to my daily ongoing symptoms and had to voluntary resign from my job. My wife looks after me and has had to put her job on hold for my well being. I am suffering mentally and physically and was admitted to the mental health ward in the Ulster hospital in December 2021. I under investigation for cardiology and was diagnosed with sleep apnea in March. I would like to see support from our government to help all of us in need. I want my life back, please support the cause and help us long haulers to get the help and support we deserve. Thank you for reading my story!
