Gay Marriage in Northern Ireland

The Northern Ireland government do not support equality.
Homosexuality was legalised in 1982 by our government, since then LGBT members have been failed in gaining equal rights by the governement.
Five times an equal rights bill was put forward to the Northern Ireland Assembly and five times it has been denied. The cause of this? A petition of concern brought about by the unionist members of the Assembly.
The main culprit? The DUP.
30 members of a political party who have seats in the assembly are needed to use this petition. The DUP have recently lost the number of seats needed.
Following the 2017 Elections in Northern Ireland it is time for Norther. Ireland to come in line with the rest of the UK and announce that it too supports gay marriages. The DUPs constant mis-use of the Petition of Concern is undemocratic and is not listening to the overwhelming support by this topical issue.
This is our opportunity to truly provide equality for all members of Northern Ireland, the parties in Assembly must recognise that the public voices need to be heard!
MAKE A CHANGE IN NORTHERN IRELAND FOR THE BETTER! SHOW THAT OUR VOICES WILL BE HEARD! SAY NO TO INEQUALITY AND YES TO LOVE.
