The new facilities at Northchurch Recreation Ground are fantastic and attract a lot of families and local residents.  There are 2 major safety concerns that we would like to be addressed by the Parish and Local Councils.

 1) There are 2 pedestrian entrances that are open and ungated, this poses a safety risk for younger children as the opening goes straight onto the busy main road. We propose a gate is placed between the hedges to offer a safer exit from the ground.

2) There is no controlled crossing on the High Street road to opposite the Recreation Ground.  With speeding cars on this busy stretch of road crossing is extremely dangerous for all residents. We propose a traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing be installed to make crossing the road safer.
