Save our village bus service.

From 22nd July 2018, the Centrebus route 16 , Kettering- Thrapston- Raunds is being drastically cut. This will seriously effect the villages of Woodford and Cranford reducing the number of buses Mon- Fri from nine per day down to five per day.

The new timetable will stop people being able to catch a bus to Thrapston before 11:55 in the morning or to Kettering after 14:52 in the afternoon.

This is clearly not an acceptable level of service and seriously disadvantages people who rely on public transport. It is essential that the service continues to provide buses throughout the day or some people will suffer unnecessary hardship and isolation. Not everyone has their own transport and as we live in a village it is not possible for people to walk to facilities which they could do if they lived in a town.
