Safe crossing needed for Willow tree primary school

A large number of our primary school children and their parent/carers have to cross Wetherby road each morning and afternoon without a physical crossing to protect them. Our school is very large with 541 children currently on the roll, that could mean there are potentially 1000 people trying to get to and from school each day.A high number of these people are trying to cross Wetherby road with no crossing or patrols. As I walk to and from school each school day I see lots of children and their parents trying to cross Wetherby road outside Willow tree,it is terrifying to see cars coming towards the children as they edge off the pavement with their parent to cross over to school,I see people stood half way into the road while holding tight onto their children waiting for the traffic to wave them over the second half of the road, cars, buses and lorries are passing them at over 30 mph at times while they are stood in the middle of the road.I would love to see permanent crossing out side the school to help everyone cross safely.I would also like to see some signs to warn drivers that they are approaching a school, barriers outside of school for the safety of everyone coming in and out of the school. This means a lot to me as I have a child that attends Willow tree and another starting in September and would love them to have the freedom when they are older to be able to walk to school safely, they and others cannot do this as it is just too dangerous to cross Wetherby road on there own.
