I am a 12 year old trying to better my community starting with Green Acres Park. Please read my message and sign my petition. Thank You.

Green Acres Park has room for many improvements. Green Acres Park is the main park in North Plainfield, NJ and it should have better maintenance than it does now. When families enter the park, they are greeted with a cloud of dust from the gravel parking lot. In the summer all the weeds in the park are over grown, especially near the pond. This a problem because it makes it harder to walk around near the pond and you can't go fishing because there's tall weeds everywhere. There are no bathrooms or water fountains, which means that if you need to go to the bathroom you'll just have to wait until you get back home or leave the park. This can be very uncomfortable, especially for younger children. And now, with the pandemic it would be helpful to be able to at least wash your hands.

Green Acres Park needs to have a paved parking lot and paved walking paths, a cleaner playground, a bathroom and water fountain area, better landscaping maintenance during the summer, a cleaner basket ball court, cleaner picnic tables, and for all the geese droppings in the park to be cleaned more often. Please join me in my quest to improve Green Acres Park by signing this petition.
