I worked on this project as a student architect at Alsop & Lyall, and it was both Will Alsop's and my first project, some of my India ink on tracing drawings being published in the Architect's Journal. So (besides the clear delight it still gives its users - albeit requiring refurbishment), it would be fitting to preserve this important legacy of Will's early work now that we've sadly lost him all too soon. Asynsis would be honoured to work on the refurbishment design, along with our UK partner firms. Nigel Reading ARB-UK RIBA LEED GA Asynsis.com
Come on people save splash it's a great place I drive 1hr to go here instead of my local swimming pools for the wave machine and slide and I'm 37. I now bring my niece here when she comes down from castleford she only 6 and she crazy me to take her to splash for the waves and slide.Plus it was opened by Princes Diana so come on everyone and sign.
Me and my family love Splash specifically due to the beach theme, slide and wave machine. We've traveled an hour on some occasions to visit. If theses things go we probably won't bother which will be a great shame
I have used this great facility for my children now 40 + and I have taken my grandchildren there on several occasions on wet cold days it is the perfect place to keep the children happy! We cannot lose this great venue
Yesterday my family and I (3 adults and 3 children) travelled from Norwich specifically to visit the Splash pool. The children love the slide and the wave machine. We do not have such a facility in Norwich. After visiting the pool we went into Sheringham and bought meals and books - a total spend of over £100. Without the unique attractions of the Splash pool we would never have made this journey. Replacing it with a straightforward swimming pool (like the one we have in Norwich!) is a foolish decision.
