Britton wood is known by everyone in holmgate clay cross and tupton villages.
Our families took us walking when we were children and we have taken our children there.
For as long as the oldest person in holmgate can remember britton wood has existed.
Now the woodland is under threat.
Trees are being chopped down and cars are being parked on makeshift tracks.
The wood is part of the south chesterfield way and contains many birds and reptiles in abundance including nightjars, adders and badgers to name a few.
We are calling on the councils responsible for planning matters to stop this conservation atrocity.
Please put your name down in support of saving this beautiful wood and its wildlife from further destruction.
