Far too many people need assistance with legal matters, but many of them cannot afford a $350 consultation fee or $350/hour attorney's fees. I want to use my "talents" to help those people, especially with estate administration matters because people find themselves trying to figure out a process they know nothing about during the worst time of their life.

I'm signing because I live in North Carolina and work in the legal field. The countless stories I could share are heartbreaking. Thank you.

I’m signing because I am a North Carolina certified paralegal that volunteers with legal aid. A lot of times we as paralegals know how to help our legal aid clients but require the supervision of an attorney. Giving us more privileges will allow us to fill the gap of being able to provide low income residents with the legal assistance they desperately need.

Every day, our office turns away people who cannot afford to pay $350 per hour to pay an attorney to handle their family law matter. This is very much needed in our state.
