Eustace Conway, famously documented in Elizabeth Gilbert’s bestseller “The Last American Man”, and Turtle Island Preserve occupy 1000 acres of prime Blue Ridge Parkway real estate in the North Carolina mountains and have recently been featured prominently on a hit cable reality series. Conway, a founder and Director of Turtle Island Preserve for the last 26 years, is threatened with criminal charges and has been forced to close the non-profit traditional living and natural skills educational farm.
