As a resident in Saltcoats I have noticed the decline of our Beach.  After Winter our Beach used to be cleaned up by the Council.   Weeds and grass are now growing on our sands and Seaweed is now being left to decompose and smell.  The sand used to be flattened out and it was a joy to see a good clean Beach.   Our town is a holiday town for families coming from afar to the Beach.   Please send the Tractors out again and save the locals from any more embarrassment.  I realise that there is intention to improve the Promenade but without a clean non smelling beach these things will only help a little.  I want to get back to the days where I was proud of our Beach.  On my walk this evening at approx 7.30 I happened to see several Rats running along the decaying Seaweed.  I’m sure you will agree that this definitely needs to be addressed.  Please clean up our Beach.
