Vital Norfolk bus services are at risk of being reduced or terminated due to Norfolk County Council's proposed cuts of £500,000 to the bus service budget for 2018/19.
Local services being put at risk include the Konectbus 50 and 50A/Cringleford. From April 2018 there may be no service covering Norvic Drive and Peckover/Pettus Roads.
If subsidies are removed or reduced then these services, a lifeline for those who do not own cars or cannot drive, are at risk of ending completely. In rural areas such as Norfolk the local bus service is crucial and is already underfunded.
Any further cuts to the service could lead to social isolation and a lowered quality of life for the many people who depend on public transport in Norfolk.
It is essential Norfolk County Council does not cut subsidies to local bus operators and community transport providers.
Please sign this petition by 19th January to demand NCC saves local transport from the oncoming budget cuts at it's next meeting.
