Save our Community Center's and Arenas in Norfolk County

Norfolk has brought to  the table a change which will Infact impact our little communities in the west end of Norfolk  by closing down museums, community centers and arenas something that has brought our communities together, for example Langton community  center holds a wing ding ever year in the month of March it's packed from front to back,Courtland community center has held weddings , family functions& celebration of life's  as well as getting the seniors together for dances. Building a new "Hub" in Simcoe is unrealistic when our county is so far in debt and as Mayor Kristal chopp said in a news article that by 2022 our county will be in debt by $157million dollars approx. The point is we have facilities and buildings that meet our needs today and the maintence cost would be far cheaper then putting 52.7 million dollars in a new "HUB" that we can't afford at this point. We currently have 12 community centers and 6 arenas  that's 18 facilities at the low end if you were to set aside 200,000 per facility that's 3,600,000 a year that's 14 years of maintenance on each facility at using the 52 million dollar figure that is about to be put on the hub.  Please sign this petition so we can take this to council!
