There are employees in every school district working without a contract. This allows the districts and certain companies that outsource jobs to the schools to use a letter of reasonable assurance. Thus, absolving them from paying out any money should the employee lose their job. This also prevents employees from collecting any unemployment benefits during summer months and scheduled breaks. 

The pay is a non living sustainable wage as it is. Targetting employees who do not have a contract seems unfair and unjust. Schools districts across America depend on us (non contracted workers) to keep their daily routine running smoothly. Sadly, the letter of reasonable assurance doesn't afford us ANY should our jobs not be available in the Fall.

Sign the petition and help us overturn the letter of RA so future educators are not discouraged!! Non contracted employees are CRUCIAL to every single district across America. Yet, we are the ONLY people targeted by the letter of reasonable assurance. During these turbulent times, nothing is assured, but thousands of us are being denied collecting any monies and returning to work is up in the air.
