Whidbey Environmental Action Network is moving ahead with a two-prong strategy to reverse the Parks Commission 4 to 3 decision to allow covert military training in Washington State Parks.

We are attempting to get the law governing Washington state parks clarified to make it crystal clear that military training in the parks is not allowed. You’ll hear more from us soon on this.

We need your support to take legal action. Based on our nearly 30 years of experience in using the law to protect the environment, we estimate that this litigation will go as high as a state court of appeals and cost in the range of $75,000. We expect the Navy to intervene in the lawsuit. If half of the people who have signed this petition donated $25 each, we will have the financial resources that are needed.
