Punam KC started this petition to No unnecessary mining on the chure range and

Chure Range of Nepal is rich in its biodiversity, providing habitat to various flora and fauna. It covers 15% of Nepal's total land. The Chure hills are made of soft sand, sediment, and boulders due to which they can easily be destroyed. It has been taken advantage of and infringed for more than 50 years. The forest has lost its indigenous snake "King Cobra", the Largest flying bird "The Stork" and due to loss of habitat might lose "pythons" and "pygmy hog" soon. The nondiscriminatory mining, unplanned construction, and development of new cities have ruined the Chure Range and can cause disastrous flooding in the plains of India and Nepal during monsoon rains. Lets protect it for our future generation.
