On 3/23/22 land owner Anna J. Ondick submitted an application to the county requesting a zoning change to make the entire land parcel M1 zoning to build a Large Self Storage Facility right at the entrance to Tuskawilla Crossings, and across the street from the Avery neighborhood.

Presently, the land parcel is zoned A1 and M1 and they'd like it all to be M1 in order to build this Self Storage facility. This land is literally inside a residential neighborhood.

If they get the zoning changed as requested they plan to not be annexed into the city and plan to do a septic system and drill a well for water which by-passes the City of Winter Springs, who is highly against building this type of business in that location.

Since the land parcel is unincorporated by Winter Springs, the county commissioners will be making the voting decision. 

This is obviously a terrible location for such a business and we already have eight (8) Self Storage facilities within a 5 mile radius of this location.

Those who sign this petition are expressing that they do NOT want a Self Storage facility in a residential area next to their homes.  This zoning change and addition of a large storage facility would not only be an eyesore to the community, but create more traffic and potentially bring transient behavior to a residential area which ultimately will affect home values and safety. 

Those who sign are also highly encouraging the Seminole County Commissioners to vote NO to this change as this is something the Town of Winter Springs and many of its residents do not want in that location.
