No to Wheelie Bins in the New Forest

No to Wheelie Bins in the New Forest
New Forest District Council wish to introduce Wheelie Bins into their area. We the residents do not wish that to happen because much of their area is an SSSI and the introduction of these ugly plastic bins would detract from the beauty of the New Forest in that where they are in use in nearby areas they have become an eyesore being left on the pavements 24/7 causing obstruction to wheelchairs, pushchairs etc.
The aim of increasing recycling will not happen as it has not increased recycling in areas where they are in use.
The long term aim is fortnightly collection and this is unacceptable in the interest of hygiene and infestation.
With the rising use of online buying is creating a large amount of cardboard and if as in other areas bins will not be collected if the lid is not fully closed. This will result in more fly tipping
Many areas in the remit of the District Council have no facilities for the storage of these bins and access to others is difficult for the bin lorries.
We are sure there are many other reasons for not introducing Wheelie Bins, most of all the cost of implementing the change from the present system.
