Governor Gavin Newsom recently signed an executive order citing a Covid-19 Vaccine Mandate for grades K-12 in both public and private California schools.  This will take place immediately after full FDA approval of the vaccine for the age groups in question. 
    This petition serves as a statement to the TVUSD staff and board that the undersigned parents, guardians, and residents strongly oppose this mandate.  We wish for TVUSD to appeal this order and we strive for freedom of choice at the parental level.  
    This mandate will affect thousands of children who deserve a childhood with social interaction and proper development.  This will unnecessarily force parents into homeschool and alternatives that won’t give the students the same learning environment they desire.  This will also affect working parents who do not have other resources to assist with independent study, forcing them to choose between their jobs or children.   
    Let me be clear, this is not an anti vaccine campaign but rather a pro choice/freedom of choice petition.  Should you feel parents/guardians have the right to make medical decisions for their children and the TVUSD Board should allow for choice in this matter, please sign the petition below and forward to others in the Temecula Valley!
