Do you want apartments/ townhomes or patio homes in our backyard?  Zinke Investments is currently trying to rezone the SEC of Val Vista and  Chandler Hgts (currently farm land/dairy) from Residential > 2-3.5 dwelling units/acre to Residential > 3.5-5 du/acre. This new zoning would allow them or whoever they sell to; to build townhomes/apartments or patio type homes in very small lots or worse-all 3. Gilbert is already flooded with homes at every turn,  congested roads,  schools,  restaurants etc.   By allowing Zinke Investments to rezone this piece of land we will create even more congestion and decrease our homes values.  Adding more density will negatively impact our quality of life in what we would like to remain a nice, agricultural family community.  In signing this petition we are telling the Town of Gilbert that we oppose any changes to Gilbert general plan and the zoning of this property. The zoning should remain > 2 - 3.5 dwelling units per acre.
