Our reliance on plastic is a problem. The impact of this reliance is very noticeable to anyone simply taking a stroll outside. There is tons of plastic just laying around, and we mean literally. This not only affects our cities aesthetically, but also endangers the life of animals and us inhabitants of our cities.  Reducing our reliance on plastic can help reduce the amount of plastic waste ending up in our oceans, saving the aquatic animals. 

We can help in our own little way by personally avoiding the use of plastic, opting for alternatives such as paper bags to plastic bags. On a much larger scale, we can also voice out our desire for plastic-free living to our local government officials who can address this issue through laws, policies, or projects.

The ocean is a beautiful place, and full of marine life that can easily be destroyed by the plastic you consume on a daily basis. They don't need to be endangered by plastic when we don't even need to use plastic. There are plenty of alternatives that we can use to save our aquatic life. It is not yet too late, do your part in saving the oceans.
