Mercer is about Community.  We take care of each other and support one another.  Bringing in a corporation will only do more harm than good.  Dollar General will not bring out their checkbook anytime a student comes asking for a donation for fundraisers, or when our Homecoming Committee is looking for donations.  They will not get in their car and bring groceries to our elderly when the weather is bad, or someone can't leave their house due to illness or no vehicle.  When a parents and grandparents have come and asked about ordering certain products because their child is lactose intolerant, that request was immediately fulfilled.  When anyone comes in with requests we all do what we can to help. 

We are now asking you for your help.  This will shut down the grocery store.   I have invested every penny I have into our community to help build this town back to what it was and could be.
