Some companies have shown a desire to help employees with a special cost of living payment to help ease the pressures they are feeling.

I would like to see the Government waive tax on NI on any such payments so as the value of the gesture made by the company is enhanced.

I would seek to have an annual limit on any such payments to avoid  companies using this to award tax free amounts and feel a limit of £1000 per employee would be satisfactory,.
