Everyone who applied for, signed for, and received a loan to finance their college education should pay it back in full---NO DEBT FORGIVENESS. I paid for my own education working incessantly before, throughout, and after college as have others in previous generations; the current generation needs to follow suit, grow up, and take responsibility for their choices including the financial decision to pay for their education with a big, fat loan.

College is expensive, way more than it needs to be, but making it free will indeed cheapen it, particularly for graduates like me who sacrificed for their education and paid for all of it themselves. Proposed changes made by politicians pressuring President Biden to cancel student debt will devalue education even more and hyperinflated diplomas will be as precious as Zimbabwean currency, suitable only for burning. Society doesn’t need more people with a luxurious “college experience”; it needs more people with a valuable, difficult, college education worth busting their ass. And if a student loan was involved, it needs to be paid back in full by the adult who signed for it—not the public, not the taxpayer, not me. If people saddled with student debt want remuneration, they should sue their alma mater for providing them a worthless college experience.

I was taught that you get out of an education what you put into it. I put a lot into my education; everyone should do the same and pay back their loans---in full.
