The problem right now is that the school system is being unfair to all Muslim students. Eid is an Islamic holiday that Muslims celebrate for 3-4 days. It is an important holiday just like any other holiday that is given time off to celebrate. Muslims deserve to spend the holidays with their families without being marked ‘absent’ or missing any important work that can benefit them later on. By giving this time off, CPS will be more inclusive and considerate towards their Muslim students.
