The Stonecrest plan in West Deer Township has recently received an ordinance and signage, without proper notice, of no more on street parking. There are many uncertainties with this ordinance such as what to do for parties, holidays, driveway maintenance and other circumstances. Also no notice of fines or actions for violation or how to handle exceptions. This poses a problem for a lot of families in the neighborhood because even though there are driveways most of them are not large enough to accommodate the number of vehicles per household. Since the plan has been developed over 16 years ago, there's been no issues noted with cars being on the street. We feel there are other options that could potentially be a middle ground (ie: limit parking on trash days, and in the winter months to allow plow and salt trucks proper accessibility or to only park on one side)
