Ms. Aguirre is running in the primary as a Democrat in the 3rd Congressional District race here in Arizona. Executive Director Luis Heredia of the Arizona Democratic Party has taken it upon himself to feel he has the authority to deny access to an essential campaign tool we affectionately call VAN (Voter Action Network). VAN or the voter list allows candidates to create walk lists of democrat friendly homes, and also allows candidates to create call lists for phone banking. Thousands of Democratic campaigns, progressive organizations, labor unions, and non-profits use VAN voter contact tools to manage their voter contact and civic engagement programs. We are asking Mr. Heredia to stop denying VAN access to Ms. Aguirre and give her a more level playing field to conduct her campaign in the primary.|
We ask the ADP to follow the text that appears right on the ADP website. "The following Democratic party services are made available from the Arizona Democratic Party Headquarters. All services are provided exclusively to all Democratic Precinct Committeepersons, Democratic Candidates and affiliated Democratic organizations." Since Ms. Aguirre is in fact a democratic candidate for office, we ask you give her access to the VAN to be in compliance with the text from your website.
