Gun violence is harmful and shootings usually happen in schools and public spaces. Recent shootings include the Uvalde mass shooting (2022), where 19 students and 2 teachers died, Chattanooga mass shooting (2022), where 6 people died. Because of this, I am trying to fix gun violence and trying to get Virginia government officials to change the gun laws so that they don’t happen and shootings decrease rather than increase. I want to save as many lives as I can from shootings. I hope what I am going to be doing will change the government’s mind about gun laws/violence.
